The Paulding County Republican Party will gather for its monthly meeting Saturday, Feb. 15, at Chicken World restaurant at 4109 Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway in the Academy Sports shopping center in Hiram. Scheduled guest speakers will include Sheriff Gary Gulledge and Paulding County Commission Chairman David Austin.

For the meeting, Chicken World will be serving chicken biscuits with eggs, coffee, juice, and other drinks.

In addition, the organization is in need of food supplies for its back-pack program. It is asking the public's support through monetary or food donations, as well as backup assistance in packing the bags of food each week and delivering to the homes of schoolchildren. Food items in short supply include canned pasta (ravioli, spaghetti), Easy Mac, Instant Grits or Oatmeal, Individual Fruit or Applesauce Cups, Lance crackers or individual snacks (cookies, crackers, chips, etc.), juice boxes or Capri Sun.
