The 5-foot-11 junior forward has come up with her best performances of the year in the final weeks of the regular season, averaging 22 points a game during a recent three-game stretch.
Ferry scored 18 points and grabbed a season-high 21 rebounds to lead Pace to a 54-50 victory over Landmark Christian last Tuesday after scoring a season-high 25 points and securing 10 rebounds in the Lady Knights’ 80-45 win over Mount Vernon Presbyterian Jan. 21 and contributing 23 points and eight boards in a 64-55 defeat of Greenforest Christian Jan. 31.
As of last Tuesday, Ferry led the team in scoring with 10.8 points a game and was second in rebounding with 6.2 per contest – improving from her 8.9 points and 6.6 rebounds a game in her first season with the Lady Knights last year.
“She has found a rhythm with her shooting and is working hard getting rebounds for us,” Pace coach Regina Tate said. “Our offense is lifted to greater heights when she is on the floor. She is also a great leader as she is one of our captains.”
