On Monday, the Woodland Lady Wolfpack kept their title hopes alive with a 50-41 home win against Westover in the Class AAAA playoffs.

Freshman Vanessa Blagmon scored 14 points and senior Mecca Sneed added 12, including three 3-pointers, for Woodland, which led the entire game.

The Lady Wolfpack got a nice amount of separation between themselves and the Lady Patriots in the second quarter, thanks to a 14-2 run which resulted in a 28-13 advantage at the break.

In the third quarter, Westover would respond with a 10-0 run to help close the gap to just four points. But Zaundra Stevens (nine points) converted a three-point play to rebuild the margin and the Lady Wolfpack would match the Lady Patriots basket-for-basket in the fourth to secure the win.

Faith Lindsey scored nine points for Woodland, which will face Cross Creek on Wednesday.
