After being a major contributor on both sides of the field this past season, Dunwoody senior Aaron Alexander confirmed his decision of where he will play football next year.

Last Friday, the running back and defensive back signed his letter of intent to attend Bemidji State in Minnesota.

“I don’t like the cold really but I thought it was the best fit for me,” Alexander said. “I really liked the campus. I think it will help me become a better person.”

As a member of the BSU Beavers, Alexander will only compete for a cornerback position. In 10 games this past season, Alexander had 64 tackles (38 solo) and four interceptions.

“I’m looking to start and hopefully play a big role my freshman year but if not just get ready for my sophomore year, while helping my teammates get better this season,” said Alexander, who plans to major in business.

At the running back position last season for Dunwoody, Alexander led the Wildcats in rushing yards (632) and touchdowns (eight).

“I always tried to give 100 percent and tried to make that big play for my team to give us a better chance to win the game,” Alexander said.

Teammate Michael Adjekuko, who played quarterback, also signed a scholarship last Friday but to New Mexico Military Institute.

"I just want to take this opportunity and run with it," Adjekuko said. "Just make the best come out of this opportunity."

Adjekuko, who is nearly 6-foot-3, said there is a chance he could play cornerback.

"Being versatile just really helps me out because if I'm not doing good at one position I can always move to another one," he said. "I just want to help the team wherever they need me."
