UPDATED: Police make arrests in three robbery cases

The Sandy Springs Police Department Thursday announced detectives have charged 22-year-old Jevon Thomas with three counts of armed robbery. Thomas was arrested in Sandy Springs and is accused of the armed robbery of a QuikTrip convenience store Sunday.

Sandy Springs detectives obtained two additional warrants charging Thomas with armed robbery in two prior incidents. One involved the armed robbery of a taxi cab driver in the same area, 8800 Dunwoody Place, Saturday. The other armed robbery involved a pedestrian in the same area.

Detectives have charged an accomplice, 22-year-old Kayshawn James, with armed robbery in the pedestrian incident. Thomas and James are currently in the Fulton County Jail.
