TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation in Sandy Springs will host the 10th annual Pink Affair Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Country Club of the South in Johns Creek.

TurningPoint is a nonprofit established in 2003 in response to the unmet survivorship needs of women with breast cancer in metro Atlanta.

At the Pink Affair, the organization’s 10th anniversary story will be told by eight women.

In 2002 the Zeta Tau Alpha north Fulton link alumnae chapter hosted the first Pink Affair silent auction to benefit the sorority’s foundation and national philanthropy — breast cancer education and awareness. Each year since, the Pink Affair has benefited the foundation. However, the alumnae decided 75 percent of proceeds should benefit nonprofits in the local community involved in breast cancer research, awareness, support, rehabilitation and/or education.

In 2007 TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation was selected as one of the local beneficiaries of the event. And, almost immediately a “partnership” of friendship and support between the Pink Affair event committee and TurningPoint began.

After 11 years the chapter and the Pink Affair have raised more than $300,000 in the fight against breast cancer.

The chapter and the Pink Affair event committee joined forces with TurningPoint in 2013 to make the event an annual fundraiser solely benefiting TurningPoint for years to come.

Tickets are $100 per person and $500 for a Pink Sapphire sponsorship, which includes two tickets and recognition in the event program. Net proceeds will benefit supporting women in financial need and TurningPoint’s education and advocacy programs.
