Former Atlanta Falcons linebacker Buddy Curry, in conjunction with Kids & Pros, Inc., Roswell Recreation and Parks Department, Roswell Youth Football and Cheer Association and the Atlanta Falcons, will host special Youth Football and Cheer Clinics and a parent information session at Roswell Area Park March 30 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The clinics and parent information session are open to all north Fulton area youth recreation and school coaches as well as parents interested in learning about the following – the impact of a coach as a role model, character building through football and cheerleading, equipment fitting, concussion avoidance and Heads Up Football (the steps of proper football tackling technique and other skills to avoid injuries).
Atlanta Falcons players and cheerleaders will be on hand to help lead the clinics.

Roswell Recreation League baseball tourney
The Roswell Youth Baseball Association, in conjunction with the Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic & Cultural Affairs Department, hosts its Mid-Season Recreational Baseball Tournament March 28 through 30 at Hembree Park on 850 Hembree Road in Roswell.
The tournament includes all Roswell Recreation & Parks’ 23 baseball teams, with players ranging from nine to 14 years old.

Roswell Youth Lacrosse Invitational coming up
The Roswell Youth Lacrosse Invitational, one of the premiere youth lacrosse tournaments in the southeast, returns for its 11th year to Roswell Area Park May 9 through 11.
The RYLI brings more than 7,000 attendees to the Roswell area and hosts 2,200 kids, plus families and friends, over Mother’s Day weekend.
In addition to the lacrosse competition, the tournament includes a Lax Village with exhibits, interactive games, contests, food, music, equipment vendors and lacrosse instruction.

Collegiates & Legends golf tourney in Roswell
Thirty of the leading LPGA Legends Tour golf professionals will tee it up with 60 of the top collegiate female golfers at the Judson Collegiate & Legends Pro-Am Challenge at Country Club of Roswell June 27 through 30.
This is the second stop of the season for the Legends Tour and is the only event that allows women collegiate golfers to play alongside former stars of the LPGA. The event is hosted by 13-time LPGA and six-time Legends Tour champion Rosie Jones, an Atlanta resident.
The first day of the event features a Pro-Am challenge, where area amateurs are paired with Legend Tour professionals and collegiate players.
The second day is a one-day Legends Tour tournament, with a purse of $120,000, while the third part of the event is a three-day collegiate stroke-play competition for the collegiate players.
The event will get under way with a Women’s Leadership Workshop June 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on 1075 Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell. The workship was created by the JCI Foundation to provide mentorship and education for young women who are still in college or just entering the workforce.
Proceeds from the golf tournament benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, while proceeds from the Women’s Leadership Workshop benefit the JCI Foundation.
Cost: $10 for general admission, children under 17 and military personnel with ID get in free, discounts for groups of 10 or more. For the workshop, $55 for general admission, students get in free.
