The institute’s work encompasses six programs that serve the Westminster, Atlanta, national and global communities: community service, service learning, philanthropic studies, the philanthropy education and service learning consortium, events and resources.
To that end, the event is a panel discussion comprised of four faith leaders: the Rev. Joanna Adams, Imam Plemon El-Amin, the Rev. Joseph Roberts and Rabbi Alvin Sugarman known collectively as Higher Ground. The faith leaders will gather and speak with a distinctive, interfaith voice to help inspire action on key issues affecting the greater Atlanta community.
Moderated by Alicia Philipp – president, the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, Higher Ground will dis-cuss religion’s roots and obligations to civic engagement, as well as engaging in interfaith dialogue and inter-religious relationships contribute to a better Atlanta.
