“Kalea has an amazing presence on the field and a strong right foot,” said head coach Art Cartee.
“We’ve come together as a team and worked hard in practice,” Romero said. “We would like to make the playoffs which we haven’t done in years and it would mean a lot to the program.”
East Paulding is also in line to reach double-digit wins for the third consecutive year with a veteran squad.
“We’ve had younger players on the roster in the past but this season, we have more upperclassmen on the team and that has helped us,” said Romero.
The junior also plays club soccer for the Southern Soccer Academy and plans to pursue a career in forensic science.
The Raiders will return to action on Thursday in a home contest against Kennesaw Mountain before concluding the regular season next week with games against Osborne and North Cobb.
