Carson Howe has helped establish the Mount Pisgah Christian boys’ track and field team on the state level.

Howe finished eighth in the 400-meter dash and helped Pisgah to sixth and seventh-place finishes in the 1,600 and 800-meter relays respectively as the Patriots finished ninth in the Class A private school competition at the boys’ state meet last year.

The senior has been gearing up for another strong showing at state with a successful regular-season that includes new school records in the 400 (50.96 seconds) and 200 (22.07 seconds).

He also helped lead the Patriots’ 400-meter relay to a school-record time of 44.69 seconds.

“He put in work all the way through the fall,” Mount Pisgah Christian track coach Tersoo Uhaa said. “He was training with our sprinter coach and he has really shined.”

“Carson is just one of those kids that just has tremendous genetics and God-given gifts. But he really, really works hard to take those gifts to the next level.”
