Barr leads District 11 House fundraising

Bob Barr leads the way in fundraising in the six-person Republican District 11 U.S. House race for the May 20 primary election. Incumbent Dr. Phil Gingrey, R-Marietta, is running for U.S. Senate. The winner of the primary will be unopposed in the November general election.

Candidates had to file their campaign disclosure reports for a one-year period, starting April 1, 2013 and ending March 31, with the Federal Elections Commission by April 15. According to the commission’s website, Barr had $641,529 in contributions (plus a $20,000 loan), $536,642 in expenditures and $124,963 net cash on hand.

He was followed by Edward Lindsey, who had $391,970 in contributions (plus a $60,000 loan), $283,635 in expenditures and $168,334 net cash on hand; Tricia Pridemore, who had $337,667 in contributions (plus a $100,000 loan), $199,023 in expenditures and $238,645 net cash on hand; Barry Loudermilk, who had $359,213 in contributions, $282,050 in expenditures and $77,162 net cash on hand; Larry Mrozinski, who had $11,692 in contributions (plus a $14,675 loan), $20,973 in expenditures and $5,463 net cash on hand; and Allan Levene, who had $745 in contributions (plus a $6,100 loan), $5,405 in expenditures and $1,440 net cash on hand.

The district stretches from Buckhead to Bartow County and includes part of Sandy Springs and Cobb County and all of Cherokee County.
