The South Fulton Arts Center, 4645 Butner Road, College Park, will hold its summer youth arts camp June 2 through 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for youth age 5 to 12. The 2014 session is called Arts through the Pages. Campers can explore the literary artistry of books, authors and illustrators through dance, music, visual arts and theater providing days of interactive and art educational activity. Each Friday morning, members of arts organizations will perform and at 4 p.m., camp ends in a stage performance and art display, both of which are free and open to the public.

Cochran Mill Nature Center, 6300 Cochran Mill Road, Palmetto, will hold its Junior Naturalist summer day camp from June 2 through Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for rising second- to fifth-graders. The 2014 session includes 30 hours of instructor-led programming, like hiking, canoeing, arts and crafts, fishing and wildlife encounters. Topics will change from week to week. Each camp concludes with a water battle between campers and the Chattahoochee Hills Fire Department.

Ballethnic Academy of Dance, 2587 Cheney St., East Point, will hold summer camp from June 2 to July 25. Arts Transition camp June 2 through 27 for students age 5 to 12 includes dance, drama, games, arts and crafts. The fee is $720. Dance Diversity camp June 30 through July 27 for ages 6 to 21 is an intensive training and performance program. Classes offered include ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, African, modern, hip hop, pas de deux, etiquette, nutrition, cultural arts and dance history. The fee is $750. Campers paying in full before May 31 receive a 10 percent discount.

Youth, teen camp
The Andrew + Walter Young Family YMCA, 2220 Campbellton Road SW, Atlanta 30331, will hold summer camp for ages 5 to 18. Youth camp activities May 28 through Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for ages 5 to 12 include arts and crafts, sports and recreation, computer literacy, character development, music, performing arts, math club, field trips, swimming, nature hikes, book club and life skills. Fees are $95 a week. Teen camp activities June 2 through Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for ages 13 to 18 include a talent show, an art show, parent workshops and teen financial literacy. Fees are $50 a week.
