The Kiwanis Club of Buckhead will host the 15th annual Earl W. Williams Buckhead Charity Golf Classic Thursday at the North Fulton Golf Course at Chastain Park in Buckhead.
The event will start with a box lunch at 12:15 p.m., continue with a shotgun start to the golf tournament at 1 p.m. and end with a barbecue buffet and presentation of awards and raffle prizes.
It will include a Fort Lauderdale scramble/captain’s choice tournament. Prizes will go to the foursome with the lowest score, closest to the pin, longest drive in the fairway. Tickets are $150 per person and include greens fees, cart, lunch and dinner. Sponsorships are also available and range from $395 to $1,000.
The classic will aid needy children in metro Atlanta and benefit Hillside Hospital, Wilderness Works, Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Key Club and other youth programs.
Kiwanis International was founded in 1915 in Detroit and today there are clubs in 80 countries. Members spend more than 150,000 hours volunteering each year and raise more than $107 million annually.
