A number of local lacrosse players were selected to the 2014 Georgia High School Boys All-State lacrosse teams by the High School Coaches Council of the local chapter of U.S. Lacrosse last Monday.
Centennial players Nate Solomon, Austin Prescott and Jake Sadd and Milton teammates Nick Newell, Hunter Sanna and Justin Newell were selected as All-Americans as well as being chosen to the first team All-State unit in Class AAAAAA, while Northview’s Matt Biondich and Ben Fleck were All-American selection as well as first team All-State choices with teammate Max Lovingood in A-AAAAA.
Milton’s Brandon Davis and Chattahoochee’s Jack Bui earned Academic All-American status.
Davis was also a second-team All-State selection in AAAAAA, along with Milton teammate Nick Mirabella, Centennial’s Alex Prescott and Johns Creek’s McKay Sheahan.
Blessed Trinity’s Matt Higgins, Fellowship Christian’s Cameron Petrovich and Northview’s Conor Segraves were second-team All-State choices in A-AAAAA.
Honorable mention All-State players in AAAAAA included Milton’s Chad Toliver, Roswell’s Preston Tippett, Centennial’s Cole Woodward, Chattahoochee’s Nick Zakucia and Johns Creek’s Grey Overton.
A-AAAAA honorable mention All-State players included Blessed Trinity players Tom Nofi and Chris Camperlengo and Northview teammates Conor Redmond and Justin Westbrook.
