Although Paulding County Elections and Voter Registration Assistant Supervisor Georgia Penegar said 800 people had voted by 9 a.m. throughout the county, it was too early to predict any type of voter turnout for the primary election.

“We have 89,000 registered voters in Paulding,” she said.

Penegar said, however, that to have that many to vote in a two hour period, was good.

Voting has gone smoothly throughout the county with no problems being reported.

“We are looking to have another voting rush at lunchtime and then again after 5 p.m.,” Penegar said.
