Ken Chertow Wrestling

Ken Chertow Wrestling will hold its Gold Medal Training Camp at Brandon Hall School May 27 through 31.

The camp includes systematic curriculum, intense drills, video analysis, mental preparation, live wrestling, nutrition seminars, a world class staff, strength training and outstanding facilities.

Significant team discounts and early enrollment incentives are available for coaches and wrestlers.


Galloway Basketball Camp to be held in June

The Galloway School will hold a basketball camp for both boys and girls at Galloway June 2 through 6.

Sessions will be 9 a.m. to noon for ages 7 to 10 and 1 to 4 p.m. for ages 11 to 14.

The camp will be conducted by Galloway girls’ basketball coach Keisha Brown and the school’s boys’ basketball coach Cliff Waddy.

The camp will feature individual instruction, daily competitions, prizes, awards and a camp T-Shirt.

Bankshot Basketball camp with Atlanta Dream

Galloway girls’ basketball coach Keisha Brown’s Bankshot Basketball will team up with the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream to hold basketball camps in June.

The first camp will be for both boys and girls at the Riverside EpiCenter in Austell June 16 through 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The second camp will be for girls only at The Galloway School June 23 through 26 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

The camps include position drills and skill sets, financial literacy games, a T-Shirt, an Atlanta Dream bag, a ticket to the Atlanta Dream game against the Indiana Fever at Phillips Arena July 1, a mock draft day for players and special guest from the WNBA and the Atlanta Dream.

Basketball camp to be held at North Atlanta

The SaMarc Foundation will be hosting a free basketball camp for all Atlanta Public School students at North Atlanta High School July 21 through 23.

The camp will be available for the first 125 applicants from the Buckhead community and feeder schools to North Atlanta.

Registration is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 18.

The camp will be conducted by North Atlanta girls’ basketball coach Kerry Sarden and Sam Mitchell, a 13-year NBA veteran and 2007 NBA coach of the year. The camp will feature individual instructions, daily competitions, guest speakers and a camp T-shirt.

BB&T Atlanta Open announce events

The 2014 BB&T Atlanta Open has announced a series of special events that will take place daily throughout the tennis tournament at Atlantic Station in midtown July 19 through 27.

The events include Kids Weekend, Opening Ceremony, Military Day, College Night, a post-match Yacht Rock Revue concert, USTA Member Appreciation Day, ALTA Night, Ladies Day, Fan/Volunteer Appreciation Day, Saturday Night Social and BB&T Champions Day.

Each event is included in the purchase of a ticket.
