Anna Gandolfo has set the standard for Blessed Trinity distance running for the last three years.

The senior, a Georgia signee for track and cross country, finished her outstanding high school career with runner-up finishes in both the Class AAA 1,600 and 3,200-meter runs at the state girls’ track and field meet in Albany May 3.

Gandolfo finished second in the 1,600 with a time of 5 minutes, 07.81 seconds and was second as well in the 3,200 in 11:05.74. She also teamed with Bailey Willett, Madeleine Iassogna and Shannon Innis to win the 1,600 relay in 3:59.95 to help Blessed Trinity finish third in the AAA team standings. During her time at Blessed Trinity, Gandolfo won state titles in the 1,600 in AAA last year and the 3,200 in AA in 2012 as well as placing runner-up in the 3,200 in ’13 and the 1,600 in ’12 to help the Titans finish runner-up the previous two years.

Gandolfo also made her mark in cross country, where she finished third individually (20:04.01) to lead Blessed Trinity to the AAA team title and was fourth in 2012.
