Marietta resident Debbie Rankin, author of the “Cottage in the Park” series of books, will host a book reading at the Atlanta Botanical Garden’s Children’s Amphitheater in Midtown Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

The Marietta resident’s books include “Butch the Blue Jay,” “Warbie” and “The Squirrel Who Almost Stole Halloween” and reflect her love of nature. Rankin’s latest books, in final stages for publishing, are titled “Sweet Pea aka Hot Stuff, Parts I and II.” Her stories come from the adventures she has gathered while observing the many animals that have graced her gardens over the years.

A limited quantity of signed books will be available for purchase at the garden’s gift shop.
