One metro Atlanta nonprofit is seeking the public’s help in finding a new venue for its annual fundraiser.

Due to a scheduling conflict, Dinner for Divas, a benefit for female domestic violence survivors originally set for June 21 at the Cobb Galleria Centre near Vinings and rescheduled for Aug. 2, must find a new home. The gala is taking place a day after the Diva Empowerment Conference.

The gala is organized by the Duluth-based Alma G. Davis Foundation Inc., a nonprofit serving female domestic violence victims in Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett counties and beyond.

“We are in negotiations for the Cobb Energy [Performing Arts] Centre [to host it],” said Vanita Bailey, an executive assistant for the foundation. “However, we are open to suggestions if you have places that you think would be ideal. We normally have 250 guests and it is a seated, formal dinner.”

If anyone has information on an alternative venue for the event or wants to volunteer or make a donation, call (678) 957-9464 or visit
