June and July have provided some special moments for Jensen and Taylor Jorgensen.

On June 28 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Jensen Jorgensen won the Bandolero Outlaw Division National Championship for the second straight year.

“It was a dream come true to win one but winning two is just amazing,” Jorgensen said.

Jorgensen started the 25-lap race from the third position in the second row but moved to the front of the pack by the second lap. After three cautions, Jorgensen was still able to maintain the lead ahead of Chase Purdy, Ashton Winger and Joshua Hicks, and cruise the final eight laps.

“After the final restart, I saw them get into each other and they were racing with each other, and saw that I had two car lengths on them,” Jorgensen said. “I just turned my mirror down and stopped looking back. I knew I had that race won as long as I hit my marks and was smart and that’s what I did.”

Then a week ago, his older sister Taylor captured her first Thursday Thunder win in a Legends car.

“I wanted this one bad,” she said. “It feels great to be here.”

After a restart on the sixth lap, Taylor Jorgensen pulled ahead of Will Martin two laps later and held on for the victory in the Allred Family Dentistry Semi-Pro feature.
