The city of Johns Creek has rolled three great events into one super day by combining the Fall Family Festival with the Farmer's Market and Touch-a-Truck Sept. 6 at Newtown Park. Vendor registration starts Aug. 4.

The combination means families can take advantage of several entertainment options in one trip: buying fresh produce; enjoying the numerous games and carnival activities of the Fall Family Festival; and letting kids explore some of the City's heavy equipment.

The Market is open from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will share a field with the festival activities and vendors. The Touch-a-Truck and Fall Family Festival kick off at 10 a.m. and run to 3 p.m.

The Johns Creek Farmer's Market has been drawing up to 25 vendors every Saturday since opening in June. The market offers certified organic, locally grown fruits and vegetables and other special treats for your family.

Touch-a-Truck lets kids "sit in the driver's seat" in some of the Public Works equipment used to construct the many projects currently happening around Johns Creek, including intersection improvements on Old Alabama Road, miles of sidewalk in different parts of the city, and renovations at parks. Touch-A-Truck also features toy dump truck races, prizes and giveaways.

The Fall Family Festival, now in its seventh year, is returning several favorite activities, such as a bounce house, giant slide, face-painting, animal demonstrations, live music, pie-eating contest, and bungee run.

Interested vendors can apply for festival space starting Aug. 4 through Aug.29.

Admission to the day's events is free. Tickets for individual Fall Family Festival activities will be available for purchase.
