In a news conference Thursday at Washington High School, Atlanta Public Schools and the Georgia Institute of Technology announced a partnership between the two entities.

In the agreement, each of the district’s schools’ valedictorians and salutatorians will be accepted to the college and can get a scholarship for full in-state tuition for four years there beginning in 2015.

Students must also have successfully completed the prerequisite course work and admission process for entrance into the college. They can begin classes there as early as the summer semester of 2015.
