The city of Brookhaven has been ranked the most exciting place in Georgia by the Movoto Real Estate blog.

According to Movoto, “Not only did [Brookhaven] have a higher percentage of young people than Atlanta — 39.26 versus 34.13 — it also had more nightlife, music venues and arts per capita than the capital city.”

“We're very pleased to be recognized as the most exciting place in Georgia,” said Brookhaven Mayor J. Max Davis. “As residents, we know the excitement of living in a bustling, thriving city, but it's also good to see some metrics about what everyone who visits Brookhaven can sense and feel.”

According to Movoto, Brookhaven’s top rating was the result of measuring nightlife per capita, live music venues per capita, active life options per capita like parks, outdoor activities and more, arts and entertainment per capita like movie theaters, festivals, galleries, theaters, fast food restaurants per capita (the fewer the better), percentage of restaurants that are not fast food (the higher the better), percentage of young residents ages 18 to 34 (the higher the better) and population density (the higher the better).
