Located at 2857 Paces Ferry Road, the hotel will be converted starting this fall, when construction begins. It will officially become a Hotel Indigo in summer 2015, when the work is expected to be complete, said Caroline Huston, a group spokeswoman.
“The Hotel Indigo growth strategy is focused on markets with residential, commercial, pedestrian and cultural representation,” Huston said. “The location of this hotel near the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, the Cobb Galleria Centre and the boutique shops, restaurants and galleries of Vinings Village and Vinings Jubilee makes it a good fit.”
The group does not own the hotel, which is franchised by Miami-based Rialto Capital Management and managed by southeast Cobb County-based Valor Hospitality Partners. But it is the licensor of the Hotel Indigo brand name.
Huston said the cost to convert the hotel to the Indigo brand is not known yet. It will have 150 rooms, and she did not know if any rooms would have to be closed during the conversion.
The Vinings location will be the fourth Hotel Indigo in metro Atlanta. Two are already open, in Midtown and College Park, and a third, located downtown, is under construction.
