The Paulding County Farm Bureau Farmers Market is set for every Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at 4075 Charles Hardy Parkway in Citizens Square Shopping Center in Dallas. Clay shoot

The 2014 Ragsdale Heating Air & Plumbing Sporting Clay Shoot is set for Friday at 9 a.m. at Foxhall Resort & Sporting Club in Douglas County. The Paulding Chamber of Commerce will host the event at 8000 Capps Ferry Road in Douglasville. Registration and breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. Hospitality and registration will be hosted by LGE Community Credit Union.

Georgia Classic Rides block party and car cruise-in is set for Saturday and every fourth Saturday, from 5 to 10 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Dallas.

The Sockhops

The Sockhops will be in concert Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Dallas Theater in downtown Dallas. From doo-wop to Motown, and the sounds from California to Great Britain, The Sock Hops are pleased to recreate some of the great musical hits of the 1950s, ‘60s and 70s. Tickets are $16 and $14. Miss Hiram Pageant

The 11th annual Miss Hiram Pageant is Sept. 13 at Dallas Theater. Ages are infant to 24, and the entry fee is $65 through Aug. 31 and $75 after Aug. 31. Entry fee paid at the door is cash only. Miss Hiram, ages 17 to 24, will win a $500 cash scholarship. The event benefits the Shrine Hospitals for burned and crippled children. Food Truck Friday

The Downtown Dallas Merchants Association will host Food Truck Friday Sept. 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. on Main Street in Dallas. It also is planned for Oct. 10. The event will feature live entertainment in the Courthouse Square, and inflatable play areas for the children. Food vendors range from barbecue to pizza, surf and turf and more.

Fall Fest seeks artists

The 12th annual Paulding County Fine Arts Association Fall Fest is set for Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Main Street in downtown Dallas. Organizers are inviting local artists, new emerging artists and craft makers to showcase their work at the event. It will feature continuous entertainment, from singing to dancing, contests, art displays and food vendors. Dinner and a play

The Main Street Players’ production of “Murder in 3-D,” a murder mystery dinner show, is set for five dates in October at Dallas Theater. Dates and times are Oct. 17 and 18 at 7 p.m., Oct. 24 and 25 at 7 p.m., and Oct. 26 at 3 p.m. Dinner will be catered by The Ragsdale Inn and served for all performances except Oct. 26. Tickets are $30 except for Oct. 26 show, which is $15. The theater is at 208 Main St. in Dallas.
