History is repeating itself in the 2014 season so far for the senior setter, who has recorded 180 assists, 25 aces, 70 digs and 14 kills to lead the Hornets to a 14-4 record at the end of last week.
She had three kills, eight aces and nine digs to lead Roswell to a 3-1 victory over Alpharetta last Thursday.
Last year, Jones recorded 45 kills, 75 aces, 355 digs and 545 assists to help lead the Hornets to the Class AAAAAA state quarterfinals.
As a freshman, she was part of the Roswell squad that advanced to the AAAAA semifinals in 2011.
Jones has also contributed valuable leadership skills as the team captain for the last two years, according to Roswell coach Eddy Moore.
“She’s our leader,” Moore said. “Her knowledge of the game and her leadership skills are impeccable. She is the glue that holds us together. Her leadership skills are very valuable.”
